Marguerite has worked as a hand therapist for over 15 years, since graduating from the University of Queensland in 1983. She is involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Queensland and has lectured extensively. Marguerite has a Post Graduate Diploma in Hand and Upper Limb Rehabilitation and has a special interest in complex injuries, overuse injuries and workplace rehabilitation. Marguerite is a full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

Mary graduated from the University of Queensland in 1991 and received a Post Graduate Diploma in Hand and Upper Limb Rehabilitation from Curtin University in 1995. Mary has lectured extensively throughout Australia and to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Queensland and Griffith University. Mary has worked solely in hand and upper limb rehabilitation since 1994 and has a special interest in shoulder surgery and elbow injuries. Mary is a full member of both the Australian Hand Therapy Association and the Shoulder Elbow Physiotherapy Australia Association.

Wilma has practised as a specialist hand therapist for over 20 years and has studied in the USA as a Winston Churchill Fellow. She has lectured extensively both in Australia and internationally, including to students at the University of Queensland. Wilma was one of five founding members of the Australian Hand Therapy Association and served as president from 1983-86. She has a special interest in the wrist, sporting injuries, nerve injuries and fractures. Wilma is a life member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association and a Certified Hand Therapist through the American Society of Hand Therapists.

Joy graduated from University of Queensland in 1992 with first class honours. She completed a Masters degree in Hand & Upper Limb Rehabilitation through Curtin University (Perth) in 2003. Joy has extensive experience in hand and upper limb rehabilitation in Australia and in the UK. She has presented at a number of national and international forums in relation to hand therapy. She has published research papers and completed clinical research in a variety of aspects of hand therapy and surgery and is currently undertaking research in the management of finger joint replacements. Joy is a full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association, as well as the current mentor in Queensland.

Kylie graduated from the University of Queensland in 2001. Kylie has worked in burns and upper limb rehabilitation in Australia and the UK for seven years, and has a special interest in the management of oedema (swelling) and problem scars. Kylie has presented her research at an international burns conference. She is an associate member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association.

Sandra graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000 and has worked primarily in hand and upper limb rehabilitation since 2003. She first worked in hand therapy at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and subsequently undertook positions in three specialist hand therapy/surgery units in London (UK). Sandra is a full member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association and a member of the British Association of Hand Therapists.
Ben graduated from a double major in psychology and exercise physiology in 2000 and gained his master of physiotherapy in 2003. He has worked in hospital,occupational health and safety and private practice in both Australia and in the UK. Ben has experience in gym, Pilate's and hydrotherapy rehabilitation.
Ben has a particular interest in the rehabilitation of the occupational athlete,assisting people to successfully return to the work place.

Jennifer completed her studies at the University of Queensland. She graduated from her undergraduate physiotherapy degree with honours (2002) and from her Musculoskeletal (Manipulative) Physiotherapy Masters Degree with distinction (2007). She has been employed in metropolitan and rural public hospitals, private practices and football clubs. More recently she has worked as a private practitioner in New York City, followed by management of a multidisciplinary team in the Orthopaedic Department at Cairns Hospital. Jennifer’s interest is assisting patients to manage chronic neck and shoulder pain, whiplash associated disorder, neck, scapular and thoracic pain; whether caused by trauma, sports, repetitive strain injuries, work postures and work injuries.

Kerrie graduated from Griffith University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and in 2008 with a Masters in Physiotherapy. Kerrie has previously worked as a fitness consultant in a healthcare centre. She has worked full-time for Extend since 2008, providing shoulder physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy and supervised hydrotherapy. Kerrie is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
BAppSc (Human Movement Studies), MPhty
Lucy completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement Studies and a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies at the University of Queensland. After graduating she worked overseas, taking up a position at a private practice in Manhattan. There she treated a variety of patients, as well as becoming involved in hydrotherapy. After returning to Australia, Lucy worked at The Wesley Hospital in hydrotherapy. For the last three years Lucy has worked at Extend Rehabilitation in her area of special interest, rehabilitation of upper limb injuries.

Michael has over 5 years experience specialising in shoulder rehabilitation. He has also worked in private practice treating neck, back and lower limb problems. With a degree in exercise science, Michael also has a keen interest in strength and conditioning, and constructs and supervises gym programs for many of his patients to optimise their return to work or sport.

Rebecca completed a combined physiotherapy and exercise science degree in 2003. Since then she has worked in musculoskeletal sports oriented private practice settings, treating neck, back and lower limb injuries, as well as preparing sports rehabilitation programs. She has also worked in hospital settings, running ‘Fit for Surgery’ programs, exercises classes and hydrotherapy. She has experience in clinical pilates, both providing assessment as well as individual and group sessions. Her current interests include ergonomics, return to work rehabilitation (including worksite visits), general fitness and women’s health.
